1 7/8" Mini Alarm Quartz Clock Fit-up
This mini alarm clock fit-up comes with a replaceable battery (LR44) and a variety of features. It is designed to pressure fit into a 1 3/4" mounting hole. The back of your clock design must be left open if you wish to have access to the alarm controls.
To start the clock:
Set the front of the clock on a soft surface to avoid scratching. While facing the back of the clock remove the battery cover on the right side of the case by turning the slot in a counter clock wise direction from "close" to the "open" position. Remove the battery cover and place the battery into the clock with the writing on the battery facing you. Place the battery cover inposition and turn in a clock wise direction from the "open" position to the "close" position. The clock should now be working.
To install the clock and set the time:
This mini alarm clock is designed to pressure fit into a 1 3/4" mounting hole. Use the time set knob on the lower center on the back to set the hands to the current time. Press the clock into the 1 3/4" mounting hole.

3 1/4" Oval Quartz Clock Fit-up
This oval fit-up uses one "N" cell battery and is designed to fit into a 2 3/8" mounting hole.
To Start The Clock:
Set the front of the clock on a soft surface to avoid scratching. While facing the back of the clock remove the soft rubber gasket. The whole back of the clock acts as a battery cover. Remove the battery cover by pulling up. There is a small opening at the three o'clock position that will make this casier. Once the battery cover has been removed insert one "N" cell battery into the battery well. Be sure to install the battery in the position indicated in the battery well with the positive + side to the right.
Before replacing the back cover, turn the rear mounted hand set knob until the current time is reached. Snap the cover back into place and return the soft rubber gasket to its original position.
To Install The clock:
With the battery installed, and the clock set to the current time, press the clock into the 2 3/8" hole in your clock case.

Barometer
Instructions For Your Aneroid Barometer
This barometer was designed to give the user accurate air pressure readings from sea level to an altitude of 7000 feet. Before leaving the factory your barometer was calibrated to standard air pressure at sea level. For your barometer to give you optimum results, you will have ro re calibrate it to your local barometric pressure before use.
Locate your barometer in an are where it will remain undisturbed. Do not position it in direct sunlight, as this could cause inaccurate readings.
You need to calibrate your barometer to your location. This can be done by getting the local pressure from a local radio or television station. Use a small slotted screwdriver to turn the small screw on the back of the barometer case to adjust your barometer until the black pressure indicator hand points to a reading that corresponds to your known local barometric pressure. Your barometer has now been calibrated.
For daily operation of your barometer, place the gold pointer attached to the lens directly over the black pressure indicator hand.
This will allow you to measure any change in pressure that may have taken place. It is the amount of change in pressure and the rate of that change that will be an indicator of the weather.
The following basic rules will hold true in using the barometer to predict weather conditions:
&Mac247; A fast rise in barometric pressure means good weather of short duration.
&Mac247; A rapid drop in barometric pressure means disturbances nearby - showers of short duration.
&Mac247; Regular elevation of barometric pressure usually will indicate clear, dray weather conditions (cold and dry in the winter)
&Mac247; Adrops of 2-3 tenths of an inch per 24 hours indicates a depression some distance away.
&Mac247; Drops of 1-2 tenths per hour means disturbances near by, of short duration
&Mac247; Steep drops of 6-10 tenths within a 4-5 hour period indicates coming rain and a storm with strong winds.

Hygrometer
Instructions For Your Hygrometer
This hygrometer was designed to measure relative air moisture indoors. It measures the amount of water vapor present in room air as compared to the maximum amount of water vapor that could be present (100%). This hygrometer must be keep in a mildly humid environment to work properly.
Your hygrometer was preset at the factory and will not normally need adjustment. It must be allowed to stabilize for 1-2 days in the environment in which it will be used before attempting any adjustment.
All that is normally required is an initial "moisture charge". To do this, place a damp cloth on the back of the instrument for 20 minutes. This cloth should only be damp because any water droplets that would come in contact with the spring inside the hygrometer would ruin the instrument. Once the cloth is removed the hygrometer should read about 95% (between 90% and 100% is acceptable).
If you find that an adjustment must be made, then do so very carefully. If you look through the back of the instrument you will notice a coil spring that is held in place by a gold color support bracket. This support bracket lies against the dial and has a small tab that comes away from the dial at a right angle (). This small tab has red plastic pin going through it and holding the coil in place. Do not touch this red plastic pin or the coil at any time. To adjust the reading on the dial of your hygrometer, use a small screwdriver to push on the side of the metal tab. This will turn the entire support bracket. The support bracket should be turned in whichever direction will give you the reading that you desire. Please remember that a hygrometer reacts very slowly to changes in the environment. Allow 24-48 hours once the instrument has been located before determining if the instrument is operating properly.

Moon Phase Movement
This #71MP quartz moon phase movement will provide you with accurate time as well as a visual remindor of the position of the moon. The motion of the moon phase disc is based on a lunar month of 29 1/2 days. the disc will make 1/2 of a revolution every 29 1/2 days. The 7 3/4" moon phase dials we offer were specifically designed for use with this movement.
To Install The Movement
The thickness of your dial and case must be 1/8" or less. Secure the movement to the case by threading the center fixation collar nut through the dial and into the movement. Hand tighten and then use a small sloned screwdriver to move the collar nut another 1/4 to 1/2 a turn. Do not over tighten.
Press on the hour hand at the 12 o'clock position. Be sure not to press so hard that it hits the top of the collar nut. Press on the minute hand and secure with the small round minute hand nut. Align the hour and minute hands at 12 o'clock position. If you are using a second hand, press it on now, also in the 12 o'clock position.
Using the larger of the two setting knobs on the back of the movement, move the hands to the current time.
To Set The Moon Phase Disc:
When the moon is full, the moon on the dics should be in the middle of the window in the dial, aligned with the 15 printed on the scale above the window. When there is no moon visible in the sky, the moons on the moon phase disc are hidden behind the two hemispheres inthe window of the moon phase dial.
Using the smaller of the two setting knobs on the back of the movement, move the moon phase disc to the desired position. You can check your local newspaper or weather station to get the exact position of the moon. It is usually best to wait until the moon is full and them simply align the moon on the disc with the 15 printed on the scale above the moon phase dial window.
Install one "AA" battery in the position shown in the battery well.

Quartz Clock F90
Quartz Clock Operating Instructions
The 3 1/2" quartz clock fit-up used in this clock features a scratch resistant glass lens and a metal spring clip mounting system. It is designed to give you years of trouble free, accurate service.
To Remove the Clock from The Case:
The clock module, of fit-up, is pressure fit into the case. It can easily be renoved by gripping the outside edge and gently pulling away from the clock case.
To Start The Clock:
Set the front of the clock on a soft surface to avoid scratching. While facing the back of the clock insert a "AA" battery in the position indicated in the battery well.
To Install The Clock:
This fit-up is designed to be pressure fit into a 3 1/8" hole size. After installing a "AA" battery, turn the rear mounted hand set knob until the correct time is reached. Press fit the clock back into the 3 1/8" hole in the clock case.

Quartz Clocks
Quartz clock Operating Instructions
The 2 3/4" fit-up used in this clock is assembled in America using American made components. It is designed to give you years of troble free accurate service.
To Remove The Clock From The Case:
The clock module or fit-up is pressure fit into the case. It can easily be removed by gripping the outside edge and gently pulling away from the clock case.
To Start the Clock:
Set the front of the clock on a soft surface to avoid scratching. While facing the back of the clock, remove the battery cover. This can be done by inserting a fingernail or small slorted screwdriver into the half circle towards the bottom and pulling up. Insert a "AAA" battery in the position shown in the battery well. Place the battery cover on the clock, top or long edge first. Press down to snap into place.
To Install The clock:
This fit-up is designed to be pressure fit into a 2 3/8" hole size. After installing a "AAA" battery, turn the rear mounted hand set knob until the correct time is reached. Press fit the clock back into the 2 3/8" hole in the clock case.

Thermometer
This dial thermometer is designed for indoor use only and provides an accurate measurement of air temperature in the immediate vicinity of the instruments location. Please locate the instrument indoors in a location that represents average air temperature. Avoid locations next to drafts, ovens, air conditioners or heat registers.
Your thermometer was pre set at the factory and will not normally need adjustment. Allow the thermometer to operate for at least 24 hours once it has been located before determining if it is operating properly.
If you find that an adjustment must be made, then do very carefully. If you through the back of the instrument you will notice a coil spring that is held in place by a gold color support bracket. This support bracket lies against the dial and has a small tab that comes away from the dial at a right angle (). This small tab has a red plastic pin going through it and holding the coil in place. Do not touch this red plastic pin or the coil at any time. To adjust the reading on the dial of your thermometer use a small screwdriver to push on the side of the metal tab. This will turn the entire support bracket. The support bracket should be turned in whichever direction will give you the reading that you desire.
Operating tolerance: +/- Two degrees Fahrenheit

Wall Clock Models
- Wall Clock Models
Unlock pendulum holder from its shipping position by gently sliding to the right until it hangs freely. Carefully place pendulum on hanger.
- Batteries
Insert fresh 1.5 V DC batteries (type "C" -LR14-AM2) according to the +/- symbols. Alkaline type batteries should be used. You should change your clock batteries once a year. This will insure accurate time keeping and a consistent chime sound for your enjoyment.
Low battery warning feature
If your clock starts chiming erratically, or (if equipped) the pendulum stops this is your notice to replace the current batteries with fresh ones.
- Time Setting
Set time by advancing the minute hand or hand setting knob at rear of movement clockwise or counterclockwise to the correct time. the correct chiming will startat the the second full hour after installing the batteries. In the interim, an unsynchronized chime may occur at the 1/4. 1/2, & 3/4 hour. This will correct itself at the next full hour.
The Chime sequence at 1/4, 1/2 & 3/4 hour is electronically programmed and can not be demonstrated by moving the minute hand.
At the rear of the clock movement you will see 3 additional switches and 1 knob with the following functions:
- Melody Switch
Switch with symbols O,W,B
O = shut-off (chime and strike will not function)
W = Westminster Chime 4/4 melody plus full hour strike
B = Bim-Bam half hour and full hour strike
- Night Shut-off
With the day night switch (sun - moon) you can shut-off the chimes for a period of 8 hours. By setting the switch to the moon position with the slash through it , the clock will not strike for 8 hours beginning eith the next full hour. As long as the switch is left in this position, your clock will automatically stop chiming every day at the same time for an 8 hour duration
Example: Slide the switch to the moon position , at 9:15PM. This will silence the chimes from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
If the switch is moved back to the sun position will mute the chime sound for 8 hours to approximately one half the daytime volume.
- Volume Control
By turnnig the knob, the volume can be adjusted to a comfortable sound level.
- Chime Selector
By setting the switch to the position the clock will chime progressively every 15 minutes and count the hour. Setting switch to the position allows the clock to play the full melody and strike the time on the hour.
Mounting Wall Clock Models
Hang your wall clock vertically in desired location. If possible, your clock should be mounted to a wall stud. On Regulator styles, a small hole is provided in the lower area of the caseback. When your clock is plumb on the wall, insert a small screw here to prevent your clock from shifting on the wall when the door is opened.
Star pendulum swinging by moving it approximately 2 inches to the the right and then releasing it. Movement and pendulum are now functional.
Regulation
Due to right accuracy and reliability of the quartz movement, adjustment to time keeping is not necessary.
(mantle clock do not have pendulums)

Westminister Chime
These instructions are for the MVT2506 (non pendulum) and the MVT2508 (with pendulum) series Westminster chime movements. All of these models plays th full Westminster chime melody on the hour with an hour count. they also play a partial melody increasing on every 1/4 hour.
When setting these movements do not expect the 1/4 hour chimes to begin playing until the movement has been operating for at least one hour.
Once the movement has been installed in your clock case using the center fixation nut, you are ready to set the chimes.
- Install a fresh "C" cell battery in the position indicated in the battery well.
- Turn the black hand setting knob in the direction indicated on the back of the movement. Turn this knob until a feint "click" is heard. This will indicate that the minute hand shaft is positioned at the 12:00 position. At this time the Westminister chime melody will start playing followed by an hour count. Count the number of hours counted after the chime melody has just been counted.
- Press the hour hand on the hour hand shaft in the position indicated by the number of hours just counted if you look closely you will notice that there is a small slot in the hour hand tube that is pointing towards the hour that has just been counted.
- Press the minute hand on at the 12:00 position. Secure by mounting the small minute hand fixation nut.
- If you are using a second hand now is the time to press it onto the second shaft in the 12:00 position.
- If you have the pendulum version of one of these chime movements, remove the pendulum hanger from the shipping position by pulling it towards the back of the movement. Now install the pendulum rod and bob.
- Let the movement run for an hour or two. Check to be sure that the chime melody is being played on the hour. If not, There is a white "final adjustment" slotted screw on the back of the movement that will enable you to make this adjustment. Each one of these indicators around this screw corresponds to one minute of error. Turn this screw as needed and wait until the next hour is played to see if you have made enough or to much of an adjustment.
